#CS179 The Gilmour House Sewing Tray

The inspiration for this pattern comes from an antique woven wool coverlet by the Gilmour brothers of Union County, Indiana ~ circa, 1839.  The sturdy farmhouse between two trees with a picket fence was their signature motif.   The design is worked on 40 count Ale linen over 2 threads.  The piece is then finished in a cute little wooden tray...a perfect place to rest your needle and pins.  Stitch count - 142 wide X 61 high.

#CS177 Spring Frolic at Bunny Hill

Pattern for two frolicing rabbits with flowers and basket filled with eggs.  The piece is a perfect finish on the 6" Robin's Egg Blue shaker box by Lone Elm Lane.  The design is worked on 36 count Legacy linen over 2 threads for all areas except the tiny butterflies, those are over 1 thread.  I chose to fill the box with easter basket grass and tucked a few eggs into the nest.  The lid then sits down into the box for a wonderful spring-time display.
